100.5 The PEAK and Music B.C. Introduce The Top 20 PEAK Performance Artists at Surrey Canada Day 2011

Western Canada’s Largest Canada Day Concert Event To Hold A Dual Second Stage Line-Up That Will Host All 2011 PEAK Performance Top 20 Artists

Presented by Coast Capital Savings and City Of Surrey, Surrey’s Canada Day Celebration has grown to reach attendance levels surpassing 100,000 people. This year, for the first time, a new dual stage line-up is being presented by 100.5 The PEAK. The PEAK Performance Stage will feature two side-by-side stages running non-stop all day to host this year’s PEAK Performance Top 20 Artists.

Now in its 3rd year this award winning program will see increased funding to all Top 20 artists for 2011. Each of the Top 20 artists will receive $5,000 in initial funding this year up from $3,500. This money can be used for recording, marketing and promotion to help each artist develop their careers.

A Quick Adjustment

Simliar to last year, a few updates have been made in the TOP 20 lineup! Due to schedule conflicts, David Vertesi has had to decline participating in the project. We wish him and Hey Ocean! the best of luck, and hope we might see him re-apply in the future!

So we moved on to our shortlist, which was created by our jury when they chose the TOP 20, and are happy to welcome Sex With Strangers into the mix!
