Ashleigh Eymann

Ashleigh Eymann
Ashleigh developed a love of musical creation and performance early in her life through her many piano and choir recitals and competitions during her years of classical conservatory training while growing up in Vancouver. This journey continued into adulthood and Ashleigh intuitively has surrounded herself with musicians and music creators for the past 10 years. After forming the duo Divinity with fellow Brentwood College graduate, Georgia Murray, they began performing with Victoria, BC’s “Stir Fry Collective” in 2002, which served as the perfect vehicle to reach the ears of many local musicians. Ashleigh’s style and expertise garnered the attention of many established artists and she has had the good fortune and the opportunity to work with many of those artists and groups in Victoria and Vancouver. She has graced many tracks for others with her signature soulful hooks and has begun her own career that crosses genres and styles. Specifically, as a member of the hip hop collective known as, The Current, in Victoria, Ashleigh has performed in Vancouver and across Vancouver Island including opening spots for groups such as Jurassic 5, Brother Ali and Mike Relm. The Current was comprised of DJ Murge, emcees Just B and Ishkan with Ashleigh providing the necessary female vocal component and musicality that made The Current unique. Showcasing as a solo act at the 2010 Vancouver Island Business Conference and recently at Canadian Music Fest for Canada Music Week in Toronto, Ashleigh is striving to create new and unique recordings that are thoughtful and relevant in our current times. At 27, Ashleigh has added to her impressive resume and delved into the role of emcee. She continues to write soulful ballads. Not one to be pinned down, the future is wide open for this exciting and innovative performer.
