Winston Hauschild
Canadian record producer and singer/songwriter Winston Hauschild has worked with countless artists and bands in Vancouver including Hannah Georgas (Hidden Pony/EMI), Hey Ocean!, Wanting Qu (Nettwerk) Nat Jay and Elias.
In 2008 he produced a 5 song EP for Hannah Georgas. After finding her on Myspace they demoed songs that quickly became the The Beat Stuff EP. After mentoring her during her early days, he helped nurture her management and record contract with Hidden Pony Records. Subsequently, this led to her phenomenal success in Canada including two Juno nominations. His work with Nat Jay helped her secure a licensing contract with locally shot TV show “Men In Trees” and his own self-produced EP Limited was recorded, completely analogue, without using any digital devices — no computers, no Pro Tools, not even a digital guitar tuner and released by Aquarius Records/EMI in 2007.
In 2009-2011, Hauschild was behind the desk producing albums for Wanting Qu (Love I Am), David Blair (Things Left Unsaid), City Of Glass (Equations), Nadia von Hahn (Wait And See What Happens), Mike Edel (The Last Of Our Mountains), Daniel Kosub (Jacob’s Island) and Shera Kelly (A Bicycle Commuters Anthem). He also hit the studio with Hey Ocean! working on demos for their upcoming full length and spent the rest of his time co-producing his own new record with fellow Vancouver producer Shawn Cole (Yukon Blonde, Bend Sinister, YouSayParty!).
